President’s Message, Vol. 6, February 2023

Jan 30, 2023 | Nerve Connect

Dear Colleagues,

We are delighted to share that we received a record-breaking number of abstract submissions for the upcoming meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. A total of 570 abstracts were submitted for the meeting, and the PNS is on track to host the largest PN meeting in history.

We have three companies currently committed as Annual Partners this year. We thank Alnylam, Sanofi, and Takeda for supporting the PNS. Our meeting would not be possible without their support, and we hope other PNS industry partners will also consider Annual Partnership in 2023.

We have taken your feedback from Miami and designed an exciting program this year. New meeting design elements include:

  • Posters up for the duration of the Meeting (Sunday – Tuesday)
  • Poster Hall Reception
  • Thematic Mini-Symposia on Saturday and Monday
  • Daily Lunch with the Expert Roundtable Discussions for Junior Investigators
  • Premiere Lunchtime Industry-Sponsored Symposia hosted by Alnylam, Sanofi, and Takeda
  • Joint SIG Session on Sunday featuring talks from the IDNC, NPC, and TNC
  • New Meeting Highlights of the Day and Conference Takeaway Sessions

We are equally excited to be positioned to foster two great networking opportunities with our off-site bookend events in 2023 at Tivoli Gardens and the Royal Danish Playhouse. Registration for the PNS off-site receptions is subject to an additional nominal registration fee in 2023.

Registration for the meeting will open later this month. Please watch for more information.

We are deeply indebted to our Copenhagen Local Organizing Committee, Scientific Program Committee, Junior Committee, SIGs, and the hard-working Executive Office team, who are all committed to making this one of the best PNS meetings ever. For those of you who have attended in the past, you know how high that bar is. We also wanted to thank the individuals that volunteered their time to serve on the Annual Meeting Taskforce this past year. They discussed and made many recommended program format changes that will be reflected in the meeting design this year.

We look forward to an exciting meeting with many of you in Copenhagen!

Best regards,

Richard Lewis, MD
