PNS Training Grant Application Window
1 February – 31 March 2023
We are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of our new 2023 PNS training grant initiative. In alignment with our mission, one of the goals of the Peripheral Nerve Society is to help researchers’ careers and foster excellence in peripheral nerve research including clinical, translational, and basic science. These post-fellowship year grants will be done at PNS member peripheral nerve research centers with the goal of developing independent peripheral nerve researchers.
This grant will support a junior clinical investigator to acquire or consolidate expertise in clinical trial, clinical outcome measures and/or in clinical diagnostic and therapeutic development and a junior scientist or junior clinician scientist to develop expertise and knowledge in peripheral nerve research by answering key questions in Schwann cell/axonal biology and/or by elucidating relevant disease pathomechanisms.
The grant application period is set for 1 February – 31 March, with the first cycle of awards being made in early June and announced during our upcoming PNS Annual Meeting in Copenhagen, Denmark. Up to $75,000 USD in funding is available to cover salary and living expenses for each grant awarded.
As part of the application process, all applicants will be required to define their project together with a mentor. A list of available PNS mentors will be posted on the PNS website in February.
Please watch for an email on 1 February with further details, including the full application instructions. Any questions in advance of February, please contact info@PNSociety.com.
